These teams of specialised surgeons, medical oncologists, radiotherapists and associated medical and allied health disciplines meet on a regular basis to review all breast cancer diagnoses.

Multidisciplinary care was recommended in 1995 by a House of Representatives inquiry as a means of achieving best practice, and has since been shown to improve quality of life and lead to improved survival rates for women with breast cancer.
This team approach to breast cancer treatment provides patients with optimal recommendations for multi-modality breast cancer treatment.
MDT meetings are held fortnightly and Dr Noushi will present all new patients with a breast cancer diagnosis to the meeting to optimise their cancer treatment.
